Something’s a brewing and the picture’s the clue. Visitors are now greeted with a new concrete signage as they enter the campus. The change is full of meaning for the university, as part of the global Manipal group of universities – 8 in all. In Malaysia, the 2 campuses in Nilai and Melaka produce Engineering, Science, Business, Management and Medical students Manipal is held in high regard for producing competent and dedicated professionals attested by employers in a broad range of industries.
Internship: The end of the beginning
Internship is a fixed feature of the final year curriculum for our degree students. It provides an opportunity for students to discover, learn about, and familiarize with the professional requirement of the working world – work culture and discipline. In many ways, it is the end of the beginning for students as they embark on their careers, dipping their toes in to test waters while they are still in university….

As the Internship Coordinator for SOMB, I ensure that eligible internship students successfully get their placement with a well-established company that suit their course of study. For example, accounting students would benefit to learn from an accounting firm while a business student may be involved in a trading company. It then becomes my duty to monitor and manage internship related matters: starting from issuing verification letters….
