Don’t Just Hope. Take Initiative!
The pandemic opened opportunities but not everyone saw it. As a leader and a student in personal growth, it is important that we take the sourness of a lemon that Covid presented and turn that into sweet refreshing lemonade. But before that, let me ask you a question: When was the last time you initiated something that has made a significant impact on your life?
Growth is a choice; a choice successful people make. One key distinguishing mark between average and achieving is one’s willingness to take the initiative. It will take a bold step from you today to reach your potential tomorrow. Without a doubt, change is hard especially when you are not ready and willing for change. you may be comfortable where you are and even scared to step into the unknown.
But guess what? Change is inevitable and growth is optional. If we never change, we never grow. In fact, the truth is, the fate of the world does rest on your shoulders. Your life is changing the world every day, whether you believe it or not.
Like John Maxwell said, “You don’t have to be a superhero or a social media icon to influence people and make a difference in this world; you just have to have the courage to choose a life of values and initiate it.”
In order to do so, I recommend you consider these things.
1. Know yourself and what you want
The only way you’ll be able to recognize opportunity when it comes is to know what you want. Think of the law of attraction, think of the advanced law of attraction. When you have your mindset on certain goals, isn’t it interesting to notice how you will be more likely to meet more people who can help you in achieving them? Opportunities are out there; you just have to know what you want and intentionally look for them.
Multi-drug resistant bacteria in street foods. Should this concern us?
The streets of Kuala Lumpur are one of the finest locations for visitors who want to get a sense of what Malaysian culture is like to do so. This is particularly with the night markets, a vibrant and popular place to visit where various kinds of stuff are sold, including household things, clothes, and toys, but the main attraction is the food items. The cuisines sold here are vastly delicious, inexpensive, served with plenty of choices, and the foods can be consumed on the go (ready-to-eat foods) as we enjoy the walk under the canopy of stars. As such, it not only attracts the local crowds but also has become a melting pot for many tourists, foodies, and junkies.
However, few elements in night markets have brought serious concern to food safety officers and scientists who work on food security, safety, and sustainability. Night markets are usually operated as early as 2 pm and closes at 10 pm. The food items sold here are therefore, mostly cooked in advance (4 - 8h before the actual sale) and displayed in open space without being covered. This exposes the foods to parasites and worms, invisible germs, flies, insect and rodent droppings, human and animal hair, and skin flakes. On top of that, foods displayed at ambient temperature for an extended time are subjected to improper holding temperature and time. Malaysia is located at the equatorial geolocation; the climate is hot and humid throughout the year is seen as a perfect condition for the growth of microbes. Thus, microbes, especially foodborne pathogens, can easily contaminate the foods being sold in the night markets.
In addition to that, the dynamism of night markets has seen mainstream stalls such as egg, raw chicken, butchery stalls, etc., located adjacent to food items can easily cause cross-contamination and spread bacteria to cooked foods. Table I shows the incidence of foodborne illness and death annually worldwide. Notably, bacteria is the leading cause of foodborne morbidity and mortality.
The Quality of Life Is Defined By Its Activities
“The quality of life is defined by its activities”, a famous saying by Aristotle defines the importance of extra-curricular activities in all phases of life. I am Nisha Fareena a Chemical Engineering graduate by MIU, and I will love to share my experience on campus not only in terms of my academic achievements by the importance of extra-curricular during my term of study. When we hear the term engineering it automatically clicks long hours of studies, limited friends, limited social interactions and a so called boring lifestyle. However, we tend to forget that spicing up high intellectual degrees with extra-curricular activities is the hidden gem behind success. These extra-curricular activities comes in many forms and shapes depending on one’s interest level to increase sharpness of the mind, improve social contact, teaches the value of failure and success, builds knowledge outside the book and most importantly creates those precious circle of people that you get inspiration from in different phases of life. If there is one thing a student needs to understand for success is physical fitness and mental sharpness that comes with discipline through various activities, sports or even a daily run at the gym, that not only gives u the shape but builds that self-esteem that makes them stand out in society. During my four years degree I have been a part of many clubs, activities and competitions that has inspired me, motivated me and kept me sharp mentally and fit physically. I have been a VP of the MIU Times that gave me the opportunity to network inside campus, kept updated with the daily activities going-on in campus and arranged English literacy activities to help students improve their command on the language and to understand insights of students on many different topics through debating and public speaking. In addition, I have been the director or media for the rotaract club in MIU where we documented many activities that took place under our club leadership, this gave me the opportunity to network with people even outside of MIU that were part of the rotary community with many elderly and successful people, be inspired by their achievements and learn from them on a broader means.
Top Skill For Chemical Engineering
Chemical Engineering is one of the branches of engineering that is needed today. Chemical Engineering involves the process and design that converts raw material to valuable products. Various industry applications require chemical engineering, such as petroleum refinery, biorefinery, energy, pharmaceutical, etc. Chemical engineering requires different skills for preparation before graduation. Among them are process modeling, technical documentation engineering, and soft skills.
Process modeling
Process modeling is a computer modeling technique used to design a chemical process using specific software.
