OFF TO A GOOD START FOR THE LUNAR NEW YEAR 2022

Smacked in Taman KS, Mantin, housed the Charis Old Folks Home. Founded in April 1998, it is an outreach ministry by Charis Church serving, encouraging, giving to the old folks in the community who were left without family members to care for them.
On Tuesday, 8 February 2022, MIU University Social Responsibility (USR) members led Ms Nurul ‘Iffah from the Human Resources Department visited them yet again for the MIU annual Lunar New Year community service. The intention was to bring joy and laughter to the old folks at the home and provides them with daily sustenance items such rice, noodles, biscuits as well as adult nappies and other household necessities.
Festive songs they sang with our team, angpows were distributed and lo sang was tossed for an eventful new year. MIU USR team left them with happy faces. Indeed, it was truly fulfilling venture by the USR members.

Three days after, segueing into another Lunar New Year celebration in campus, MIU witnessed a Lion Dance heralding the new year, to bring good luck, prosperity and to ward off all evil. Majority of the staff donned thematic attire of yellow or red to signify the ceremony. Never forgotten was the doubtless beautiful backdrop which received various compliments, prepared this year by the CNY decoration team led Mr Muhammad Syafiq of SOEC. Other members include Mr Nasif, Ms Munira and Ms Adlina.
