Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Honours

Malaysia’s place in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has been well established as major industry players have set up manufacturing plants throughout Peninsula Malaysia.

This program prepares students for a rewarding career in the electronics industry, not just through technical know-how but also through business savvy.

The Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Honours covers the generation and transmission of electrical power as well as the complexities of electronic circuits, systems and power.

Eligibility Criteria

ENTRY LEVEL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
STPM Pass with minimum of 2 Grade C including Mathematics and 1 Physical Science
subject
UEC Pass with minimum of 5 Grade B including Mathematics and 1 Science Subject
A-LEVEL 2 Passes in Mathematics and 1 Science subject
MATRICULATION
/ FOUNDATION
  • Diploma in Engineering/Engineering Technology (recognized by the Malaysian
    Government) with CGPA 2.00;
  • or

  • Diploma in Vocational and Technical/Skills in related field (recognized by the
    Malaysian Government) with CGPA 2.00
DIPLOMA Pass Diploma in the relevant field from Institution of Higher Learning
(recognized by the Malaysian Government)
Others Any other equivalent qualifications recognized by the
Malaysian Government

    The following are the Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs) of the Bachelor of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Hons) programme.

    PLO STATEMENTS - At the end of the learning process, students are expected to be able to:

    KNOWLEDGE

    PLO 1

    Engineering Knowledge – Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialisation to the solution of complex engineering problems; WK1 – WK4

    PLO 2

    Problem Analysis – Identify, formulate, research literature and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences;  WK1 – WK4

    PLO 3

    Design / Development of Solutions – Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design systems, components or process that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations;  WK5

    PLO 4

    Investigation – Conduct investigation into complex problems using research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions;  WK8

    PLO 5

    Modern Tool Usage - Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modelling, to complex engineering problems, with an understanding of the limitations; WK6

    The Engineer and Society - Apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice and solutions to complex engineering problems; WK7

    Environment and Sustainability - Understand and evaluate the sustainability and impact of professional engineering work in the solutions of complex engineering problems in societal and environmental contexts; WK7

    Ethics - Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering practice; WK7
