Overview

BSc Computer Science (Hons) program encompasses the computer science and software engineering domains. Students will be studying modules that include computer studies, software engineering, management, sustainability in IT and concepts of Green ICT. The curriculum is designed to develop students with skill sets in group dynamics, team management, conceptual development in problem solving and designing projects with environment friendly approaches. They will be confident working independently and in a team environment. There are opportunities for students to receive training in niche areas of IT that include data analysis, database system, and networking. The curriculum is industry oriented and eco-friendly. Intakes: March, August, and October Program Duration: 3 Years

Eligibility Criteria

  • Pass STPM with minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) or equivalent in 2 subjects; AND credit in Mathematics at SPM level; or
  • Pass A-Level with minimum 2 subjects Pass AND credit in Mathematics at O-Level or equivalent; or
  • Pass Foundation Program from Manipal International University (MIU) with minimum CGPA 2.0 AND credit in Mathematics at SPM or equivalent; or
  • Pass Matriculation/Foundation/Pre-University with minimum CGPA 2.00 from Higher Education Providers recognized by Ministry of Education (MOE) or equivalent; or
  • Pass Australian Year 12* with average 55% including Mathematics; or
  • Pass South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with minimum aggregate Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) 55 including Mathematics; or
  • Pass Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) including Mathematics; or
  • Pass Canadian Pre-University (CPU) or Ontario Secondary Diploma (Canadian Grade 12) with average 55% including Mathematics or
  • Pass International Baccalaureate (IB) with minimum score 24/45 including Mathematics; or
  • Pass Diploma in Computer Science/Information System/Information Technology/Software Engineering or equivalent with *minimum CGPA/PNGK 2.5 (*Note: Candidate who obtained CGPA/PNGK below 2.5 but above 2.0 is eligible to enroll subject to stringent internal evaluation process)
  • Other Diploma with minimum CGPA/PNGK 2.5 and credit in Mathematics at SPM or equivalent; or
  • Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.
  • Credit in English/1119 English; or
  • Pass International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with Band 4 and above; or
  • Pass Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with score mark 400 and above; or
  • Obtained Band 2 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET); or
  • Obtained Band 6 in English Enhancement Program at MIU Australian Year 12
  • Qualification based on region in Australian (Equivalent to STPM)
  • Australian Capital Territory Year 12 Certificate;
  • New South Wales: Higher School Certificate (HSC);
  • Northern Territory Certificate of Education (NTCE) (replaced South Australian Certificate of Education (year 12) in 1995)
  • Queensland Senior Certificate
  • South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) (replacing year 12 Certificate of Achievement in 1993)
  • Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE) (replaced Higher School Certificate year 12 in 1990);
  • Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) (replaced HSC in 1992);
  • Western Australia Certificate of Education (WACE) from 1997
