The School of Engineering and Computing (SoEC) in MIU was established in 2011. It focusses on developing industry-ready professionals with technical competencies, and entrepreneurial mind-set. The School was build along the guidelines set by the Washington Accord.

The Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)

The Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is a federal statutory agency under the Ministry of Works Malaysia, established under the Registration of Engineers Act 1967 (REA 1967). Amongst its primary roles are to register Graduate Engineer (GE), Engineering Technologist (ET), and Inspector of Works (IoW) and to regulate the professional conduct and practice of registered Persons to safeguard the safety, health and interest of the public.

Manipal International University (MIU) is a member of BEM.

At MIU I worked on exciting projects that helped with my practical learning. My final year project was to develop an online android application for a cafe. The platform used was Android studio, the programming was Java and XML for interface. What the software does is it takes online orders and send towards the server side where the admin can look through the orders using an application.
