The COVID-19 pandemic has led to major loss of lives and livelihood. Despite intense efforts of the global scientific community, there is scanty knowledge related to the functional aspects of the virus, its transmission dynamics, immunological response to natural infection and vaccines. In addition, it is important to understand the drivers of vaccine hesitancy and reduced uptake, clinical spectrum of the disease and its progression. We as students from co-curriculum subject MPU 3412 are managing an event about “awareness on covid 19”. Through this subject we are able to understand about the important 17 SDG’s goals. We decided to invite a speaker to lead a discussion about covid-19 awareness and the necessity of vaccination as part of the plan. We choose to do so since it has the potential to reach a huge number of people and raise the funds we need. So that we can help people who are in the orphanage. Our motive to do this event is to bring awareness to people to stay safe and follow the SOP. This solves the possibility of people's insecurities and faulty information, which is preventing the country's recovery. At about the same time, this contributes significantly to the nation's heath. In addition, our motives are also to help the poor ones who are suffering out there.
Project Objectives:
To bring awareness to people to stay safe, follow the standing operating procedure which is known as SOP and also to encourage them to get vaccinated. This eliminates the issue of ignorance and false information among people which holds back the recovery of the country. At the same time this helps in a significant way for the nation to achieve its health and wellbeing goals. Moreover, from this talk about the awareness of covid-19 we also get to collect donation from people and help the needy who are suffering in this pandemic.
The organization of the event “Awareness on covid 19” will be done in the hopes of successfully fulfilling. We are the students of SOMB from MANIPAL INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY as well as, prosperously achieving its main objectives. With this project, we believe that it will leave an impact to those peoples who is struggling in this pandemic. The outcome of this study highlighted a growing need for the adoption of innovative local strategies to improve awareness in general population related to COVID-19 and its preventative practices in order to meet its elimination goals. Therefore, public awareness must be improved to be prepared for epidemic and pandemic situations. By making their day a little positive with just a simple speech of our senior. We also hope to give the best to everyone from this event.
