Maybank opens its branch at MIU

Maybank has now set up a fully-fledged banking branch at Manipal International University making this the first banking outlet on the Campus. The bank now renders services such as opening of bank accounts, deposits and withdrawals.
The branch will have also have an officer stationed on campus once every week to assist students and faculty in banking operations.
The Bank aims at introducing the younger generation to explore and use varied financial services.
Mr. Datuk Mohd Hanif Suadi, Community Head, Maybank said that the banking space was designed keeping in mind the campus community. He added that the financial world is changing and that the bank has to adapt their products and services as per the changing customer base.
“We have created a customer experience tailored to the needs of the younger generation. Our mission is to make financial services easily accessible to these students,” he said at the launch of the banking facility.
Dr Potti Laxmi Narayana Gangadhara Rao, Vice-Chancellor, MIU while speaking at the launch said that the students and faculty were eagerly awaiting the set-up of a banking facility on campus.
He further added that the students can now open and operate their bank accounts and manage their finances with ease of access. He also stated that MIU is looking forward to such collaborations and that the bank has lent its support by offering students with internship opportunities and financial literacy talks as and when requested.
