WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER #MIU CARES
The current global pandemic has proven to be challenging for higher education students in more ways than one. Especially students who need to cope with the loss of a member family to Covid-19 has a greater impact on life and their education plans. It is a traumatic experience having lost a parent, who was the sole earning member of the family.
At Manipal International University Malaysia (MIU), we recognized the hardship and loss that our students are facing, hence we have put together a new scholarship intended to support those students whose university life plans have been significantly impacted by Covid-19.
MIU will offer a full course fee waiver for the remaining duration of the study in form of a scholarship to students who have unfortunately lost their parent, a father, or mother who was the sole earning member of their family to Covid-19.
“We want to give our students this extraordinary opportunity to continue and complete their university education. Our students’ well-being and learnings are a priority, and it is important for us to walk them through this difficult moment”, said Prof’ Patrick Kee, Vice-Chancellor of Manipal International University.
At MIU, we are empowering the students of today to create the world of tomorrow. We care for our students and we stand by them in these difficult times. We’ll extend all possible support to ensure they complete their educations.
